Education Content Reprint and Distribution Guidelines

Designed Instruction, LLC allows and encourages reprinting and distribution of content that has been provided on our Web site at no charge. It is our belief that great research and instructional practices should be shared.

When using our content, you consent to the following guidelines:

  1. Reprinting is permitted at no charge by any organization, as long as the use is for free educational purposes and is strictly informational in nature.

  2. Content may be reformatted to fit your requirements or those of your organization (in a newsletter, for example). Graphics that accompany articles may be removed, but should not be used or distributed independent of the article they accompany.

  3. Content modifications or excerpts are allowed when needed to address appropriate educational intent, such as reasonable adaptation intended to enhance learning in a classroom or workshop. Every attempt should be made to ensure that an excerpt is not taken or used out of context, so as to cause a reader to misconstrue its meaning or intent.

  4. Designed Instruction, LLC should be appropriately referenced, including our Web site address (homepage or specific URL) as a live link. An example of attribution for an early childhood numeracy article might read: Reprinted with permission. Copyright © 2009 Designed Instruction, LLC. All rights reserved.   5. Though not required, we very much appreciate a brief notification (see contact information below) informing us of your use of our content, especially if it is being used in a newsletter, posted to your Web site, or used in some other manner that would result in a wide distribution. Our intention is not to interfere—we are simply interested and pleased to hear when the resources are helpful.

  6. These policies apply only to resources that have been provided by Designed Instruction at no charge. They do not apply to purchase products. Similarly, you must obtain written approval to use our content (including content we freely provide) for any purpose other than student instruction by teachers or parents, or free sharing of information with teachers or parents. If you are unsure, please contact us (see below).

  7. These permissions may be revoked upon notice by Designed Instruction, LLC, and upon such notice, you will immediately stop all activities related to this permission.
